Harper, Miltier, Whipple and Aimone take top honors in 2011 editionThe 5th Annual Rocky Mountain High Sled Dog Sprints were a roaring success! This year's race was a joint effort with the Colorado Mountain Mushers. Saturday's beautiful sunny weather was ideal for both dogs and mushers and brought out hundreds of spectators. Sunday was slightly cooler and a bit coudy. Trail conditions were excellent both days. Bruce Harper won the 8-Dog Mid-Distance class, Jesse Miltier cruised in the 8-Dog Sprint, Lynn Whipple doubled up by winning both the 6-Dog and 4-Dog Sled classes, and Scott Aimone swept the skijoring. Erich Meinig had the fastest time in the 4-Dog sportsman class. Thanks again Colorado Mountain Mushers! Photos from 2011 by Jim Hamlin (available here):
